Common questions

The crew can't see the runner. Open Settings, then Tracking check. It says in plain words whether Nightleg is hearing from the runner's phone and from any satellite tracker, and what to do if not. On iPhone, the Nightleg app needs location set to Always and Precise Location on.

The runner's phone has no signal. That's expected on trails. Nightleg keeps estimating from the runner's pace and the planned stops, labels those times as estimates, and catches up when the phone reports again.

A checkpoint time is wrong. Open the Points tab, tap the stop and type the right clock time. A time someone types always wins over a GPS check-in.

Family can't open the link. Family use the family link (it ends in ?watch=), which works in any browser without the app. If the race has a family password, they'll be asked for it.

Signing in. We email a sign-in link and a six-digit code. In the iPhone app, type the code; the link opens in Safari.
